Showcasing Dignity

The Community Arts Program provides a space where adults with disabilities aren’t defined by limits – they’re defined by talent, creativity, and contribution. This year, 130 participants took the stage in three electrifying performances, showcasing music, original poetry, and art that demanded attention. Audiences saw what we already know: ability belongs in the spotlight, and when it’s seen, perceptions change.

This isn’t just arts programming. It’s visibility, dignity, and community in action.

PERFORMANCE AT
UPPER ARLINGTON
PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

During the 2024 Culture Festival at Upper Arlington High School, our Community Arts Program stepped into a packed auditorium of U.A. high school students and delivered a lesson in what inclusion really looks like. Their performances were met with enthusiasm and respect. And for our performers, these moments aren’t just about being seen – they build the practical skills of cooperating within a group, following through on responsibilities, and gaining independence through shared creative work.
