FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Columbus, OH — [January 29, 2026] — Harmony Project is excited to announce the appointment of Rochelle Moore as Chief Operating Officer (COO), marking a significant step in the organization’s evolution and long-term sustainability.
Since its founding in 2009, Harmony Project has grown from a single artistic vision of a community chorus volunteering in their neighborhoods into a multifaceted civic arts and human services organization serving thousands of Central Ohioans every day.
As Harmony’s work has expanded in scope and responsibility, so too has the need for shared leadership and strong operational stewardship. As COO for Harmony Project, Rochelle Moore will oversee organizational operations, internal systems, and strategic implementation, ensuring that Harmony’s programming, people, and partnerships are supported by clear structure and sustainable leadership. Additionally, Rochelle Moore will serve as the manager of Harmony’s home offices and performance space, the Franklin County Harmony Center.
“Rochelle’s leadership comes at a pivotal moment for Harmony,” said David Brown, Founder and Creative Director of Harmony Project. “Her ability to lead complex systems while keeping human dignity and purpose at the center of the work aligns perfectly with the Harmony mission and vision.”
Rochelle brings decades of leadership experience from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, including transformative work as Warden at Pickaway Correctional Institution. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated that programs create the greatest impact when they do more than meet requirements—when they change how people encounter one another. Her leadership reflects a deep understanding that systems shift when relationships shift, and that environments built around accountability, dignity, and shared purpose create the conditions for lasting change.
“I’m honored to step into this role with Harmony Project,” said Moore. “This organization has always understood that the arts are not separate from community life—they are essential to it. I’m excited to help build the structures that allow this work to grow, deepen, and endure.”
